Like many of you, I didn't take the kids trick-or-treating this year which is an annual tradition we look forward to. Instead we gathered the family and dressed up, ate great food, danced around and took tons of photos for memories. Here are a few.

Upcoming Bloomingdales Event in NYC

I know many of us are still skeptical about stepping out during these crazy times but if you're up for a sweet refreshing treat this weekend I have just the right place for you. This month, Bloomingdale's is teaming up with DC and Warner Bros. Wonder Woman 1984 film. Thought You Should Know

Hey guys! Just wanted to hop on here to chat as we've all been dealing with this quarantine differently. 

Today, I woke up feeling a bit different ( in a good way ). I'm not exactly sure why but I think it might have something to do with me FaceTiming my friend Maria over the weekend. We chatted for awhile. It felt like we were out on our typical girls night catching up on life. We spoke about our daily quarantine schedule, planning her wedding ( she's getting married in October ) and we got excited over the arrival of her wedding shoes. It was a nice change from my tedious past few weeks. So I feel refreshed in a way.

Hoy, me desperté sintiéndome un poco diferente (en el buen sentido). No estoy exactamente segura de por qué, pero creo que podría tener algo que ver conmigo FaceTiming mi amiga María durante el fin de semana. Charlamos por un rato. Hablamos sobre nuestro horario diario de cuarentena, planeamos su boda (se casará en octubre) y nos entusiasmamos por la llegada de sus zapatos de boda. Fue un cambio agradable de mis últimas semanas. Entonces me siento renovada de alguna manera.

Happy Birthday Hazel

Yesterday I celebrated my daughter Hazel's 9th birthday. It wasn't her ideal celebration of a birthday party but I wanted it to be as special as possible. Jayleen (her older sister) baked her a funfetti explosion cake and we sang happy birthday to her. She wore her favorite party dress and posed for photos in our family room. We gave her a wrapped gift and watched her eyes light up as she opened the barbie dream house she had been wanting for months.

Ayer celebré el noveno cumpleaños de mi hija Hazel. No fue su celebración ideal de una fiesta de cumpleaños, pero quería que fuera lo más especial posible. Jayleen (su hermana mayor) le preparó un pastel de explosión de funfetti y le cantamos feliz cumpleaños. Ella se puso su vestido de fiesta favorito y posó para fotos en nuestra sala. Le dimos un regalo envuelto y vimos sus ojos brillar mientras abría la casa de ensueño de Barbie que había estado esperando durante meses.

I'm so incredibly proud to announce that sweetgreen is providing free sg salads + bowls to hospital staff in the cities they serve. This is an amazing initiative as we all need to take care of our medical personnel who are doing and an incredibly job during these times.

As I hop out of my daily epsom salt + lavender bath,  I get an uncontrollable urge to write. That might be because I haven't done it in a while or maybe because I've been on social media way too much these past few days. 

I know by now we have all seen what is going on in the world about COVID-19 and I can't help but feel overwhelmed with the outpour of information provided by everyone.

I admit to getting caught up with sharing memes on instagram, tweets and snaps. As much as I was doing all this to spread information to everyone I also feel like it's my responsibility as an influencer to help you stay calm during these stressful times.

Over the weekend I was invited to an acupuncture clinic for the first time in my life! The place was called ORA, a new luxurious acupuncture clinic located in NOHO (second location coming soon to the UES).

Back in 2013 my family visited Bangladesh for the very first time. 

A 24+ hour journey to an unknown land where all I had seen prior to my visit were photos and videos online. Fast forwarding to 2020, and we've made two trips back to my husbands motherland.

If you've been following along via my social accounts then you know my family just came back from  Turkey and Bangladesh. While in Bangladesh we couldn't get enough of the delicious food. We tried it all! Everything from Fuchka, Chanachur, Jhalmuri, Singara, Jallaby and so much more.

Daily Provisions Now Serving Sunday Supper

If you’ve ever visited Daily Provisions then you know about their delicious breakfast options such as their Maple Cruller or hefty BEC. Now the neighborhood favorite is making a mean dinner too! My family visited their Upper West Side location to try the new menu out and believe me when I say we weren’t disappointed.

Both Daily Provisions locations will be serving family-style dinners every Sunday from 5pm-9pm. They have delicious rotisserie chickens, plus a plethora of sides to keep the whole group satisfied, including their Kale Salad, Crispy Brussels Sprouts (you must try!!), Mashed Potatoes, and Stuffed Artichoke. There's also some whites and reds for the parents and hot chocolate to keep the kids warm on a winter evening. & did I mention they also have epic desserts the entire family will be fighting over!

This past weekend was so wonderful for my family.
Aside from missing an event Saturday morning because Moe and I overslept which never happens (we blame James for keeping us up the night before). We enjoyed oversleeping that morning! As a result, we were able to eat breakfast at home and take our time getting dressed. We had so much free time that after breakfast we visited Topps Bakery. I will admit we only come here for one thing and that's their Boston cream donuts.. their amazing and very addictive!!

We normally visit Chantilly Patisserie and Bakehouse but they're currently closed as they're on vacation (returning tomorrow 1/7).
