Last Summer I partnered up with Chevrolet to go on a family Coastal Road trip driving their 2017 Chevrolet Cruze Diesel. Our goal was to end up in Portland, Maine. We were clueless when it came to adding stops to our trip, restaurants to eat in, scenic areas to stop, hotels to stay, etc. While going through my phone I realized I had downloaded an app a few months back which would help with our dilemma. & just like that using the Roadtrippers app we found our fist stop, Walnut beach. I knew I wanted to visit the beach since my daughter, Hazel is a rock collector. So I thought, wouldn't it be fun to stop and find some souvenirs to bring back home?
Hazel and Jayleen found shelves, rocks and other fun little treasures. They sunk their feet in the sand and enjoyed every passing breeze before jumping back in the Cruze to our next destination; somewhere to eat. 20 minutes North East while driving in New Haven, Connecticut we found Claire's Corner Copia. A vegetarian restaurant serving some impressive treats.
The girls ordered the 'Margarita Pizza'. Quite interesting actually. It was the restaurants house-made marinara with mozzarella on a 12" whole wheat (or gluten free) tortilla ($8.25). I ordered the Spicy Buffalo Soy Chicken burrito. Not bad.
57 minutes later we stumbled upon a very recommended stop by some of my readers as well as on the Roadtrippers app.. Olde Mystic Village. There was so much to do from shopping to eating at restaurants, entertainment and services.
We hit the road. Arriving at our hotel in Boston Massachusetts; Zero One hotel. We freshen up, had dinner and walked around the area before making our way back to the hotel.
Early morning the next day, we headed to explore Boston.
Our first stop, MIT. After a few minutes chatting with the girls and explaining to them that this is where we would love for them to attend and seeing their confusing faces as why we were talking light years away.. we used the OnStar feature built in the new Chevy Cruze to find other pretty locations to shoot an OOTD (outfit of the day).

We quickly stopped at the Bunker Hill Monument as it came on the near by places on the Roadtrippers app. The Bunker Hill Monument was built to commemorate the bather of Bunker Hill, which was one of first major battles between British and Patriot forces in the American Revolution War, fought there June 17th, 1775.
As soon as I mentioned about my visit in Boston, so many of you sent me restaurant suggestions on my social accounts. I got to visit two restaurants in the area... a seafood restaurant Saltie Girl and a more casual spot called Trident Booksellers & Cafe. Both very delicious!
Our next destination was Portland Maine.
In the mist of the night we arrived at the Portland Regency Hotel in Maine. Nothing to do since it was pouring out so we decided to enjoy a nice quite dinner and rest in order to wake up early and explore this beautiful city.
Sadly, we had to leave and head back home. Nonetheless, we had such a fantastic road trip. & to think we only filled up the tank once.
Thank you so much to the Chevrolet team for this amazing experience.
