I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving day! 

I actually took a small break after quite sometime. It felt really nice and refreshing to spend much needed time with family, do a little Black Friday shopping and upgrade my phone to an iPhone 7. Surprisingly, it was a very productive break to say the least. However, I must admit I missed my social media family too. Feels good to be back!

Every year during this time I love switching my style (just a bit). Since December is my wedding anniversary and birthday month I tend to become this festive ball of joy during this time. Incorporating more reds, patterns and sparkles. I think all the beautiful windows on 5th ave and hundreds of Christmas lights around the city simply inspire me during this wonderful time of year. 

The pops of color I chose today were my lipstick (ruby woo by Mac), my shoes (Red Pigalle by Christian Louboutin), my clutch (Express) and my scarf (NY street vendor / find similar here and here). Ever since I found these boohoo pants I cannot take them off. These are so fun and unique and only $35! To continue with the edginess I added a Behno top over my white shirt. I love versatile pieces like this black top which can add a touch of personality to literally everything. Moving on to accessories. The watch set I'm wearing today is by Anne Klein. I'm wearing it in white but it's also available in black and in pink. These sets are my absolute favorite and would make a great gift for the Holiday. Remember when I wore a chunkier set here. LOVE!

Espero que todos hayan tenido un maravilloso Día de Acción de Gracias!
Realmente tomé un pequeño descanso después de bastante tiempo. Se sintió muy agradable y refrescante pasar el tiempo muy necesario con la familia, hacer un poco de compras y actualizar mi teléfono a un iPhone 7. Sorprendentemente, fue un descanso muy productivo por decir lo menos. Sin embargo, debo admitir que extrañaba ami familia de medios sociales también. ¡Se siente bien estar de vuelta!

Cada año durante este tiempo me encanta cambiar mi estilo (sólo un poco). Como en diciembre es mi aniversario de boda y mes de cumpleaños siempre me pongo bien alegre durante este tiempo. Incorporando más rojos, patrones y brillos. Creo que todas las hermosas ventanas de la 5ª avenida y cientos de luces de Navidad alrededor de la ciudad simplemente me inspiran durante esta maravillosa época del año.

Los pops de color que elegí hoy fueron mi lápiz de labios (ruby woo de Mac), mis zapatos (Red Pigalle de Christian Louboutin), mi cartera (Express) y mi bufanda (de un vendedor en la calle / encuentra una similar aquí. If you asked me 'What's the one thing in your closet you cannot live without?' I would say a little black dress. & to be honest I have lost count of how many I own. This is the one piece of clothing I can't seem to get tired of wearing. Specially if its anything like this Pure Jill Luxe Tencel dress by J.Jill.

I love this dress so much that I bought a few for my family for Christmas. Aside from it being super comfortable due to the Tencel-blend fabric, soft and lightweight I love the flowyness and how versatile it can be. You can wear it with printed leggings for some fun action, leather leggings for a chic look or add a nice belt to create a different shape. I, like it as is.

Si me preguntaste '¿Cuál es la única cosa en tu armario que no puedes vivir sin ella?' Yo diría un vestido negro. Y para ser completamente honesta he perdido la cuenta de cuántos tengo. Esta es la pieza de ropa que no puedo parar de usar. Especialmente si es algo así como este vestido de J. Jill.

Me encanta este vestido tanto que le compré unos para mi familia para Navidad. Aparte de ser super cómodo debido a la tela de mezcla Tencel, suave y ligero me encanta la fluidez y lo versátil que puede ser. Usted puede usarlo con pantalones o añadir un cinturón bonito para crear una forma diferente. Ami, me gusta como es.

Breaking Bad Habits

One the most asked questions on this blog is "how do I stay healthy?" & the answer is " I don't". There's simply no better way for me to answer this question than with this quote; " If the goal is that important to you, you'll achieve it". 

There are lots of distractions in our daily lives. Believe me I, more than anyone knows. Yet, I don't let that define me. I don't allow those distractions steer me away from what's important. & what's important is my health, my life. Then again.. It's quite easy for me to say this right now since I have finally found MY routine. I figured out the routine that ties into my schedule perfectly but it wasn't always this way. 

Please note that I am only sharing my experience with you and what works for me might not work for you.

A Vintage Dress With a Story

You've guys seem to love my ' Mixing Hi's and Low's' outfits. Therefore, today I'm bring you another one (dj khaleds voice) haha. Also, I've been getting a little more active on Twitter.. so if you'd like to chat tweet me @NYTrendyMoms :)

I don't mean to brag but.. some call me the vintage queen! Alright, I'm kidding. I like to call myself the vintage queen because somehow I always get lucky finding beautiful pieces in the strangest places. I walk around the city, a lot! & I'm always bumping into small shops, yard sales, thrift stores, vintage stores, even junk yards. You name it, I step right in because you just never know what you'll find.  

To keep the story short; I bough this dress for $15 at a vintage store. Original price was $75! I would like to take a moment to thank my grandmother for her amazing bargaining skills that she somehow passed on to me. Anyways, a $15 elegant dress which is unlike any dress I've ever seen can be paired with beautiful Christian Louboutin shoes, nice hair and makeup.. and you're ready to go.
