Every year I dread taking my girls to the beach only because I don't really like wearing a bathing suit. Before having my daughters, I use to love any activity that required me to be in a bikini. Now, after two kids, things have completely changed. I have a few more insecurities and if I have to wear a swimsuit, I wear a cover up (even in the water). -Focus on comfort! I love fooling around with my kids, so I made sure to buy something that allows me to do just that. A suit that had straps and permits me to jump, fall, run and play.
- Fitting is Key. Purchase the right size in things. This will allow you to join in on the games without having to constantly fidget of discomfort because the tight straps, loose top, constant wedgies, etc.
I now understand that there are bathing suits for everyone; you just have to find the right one for you. If you're not comfortable with a two-piece, you can wear a one-piece. If you don't like colors, you can stick to neutrals. After all, you have to wear what makes you happy and what makes you feel comfortable in order to enjoy life to the fullest.
