I typically shop for my family online because it's convenient during the cold months and it's in the comfort of my own home. Yet now that the weather is getting warmer I've started to shop in-stores more often. There's something about trying pieces on and touching the fabric that really adds on to the experience of loving an item of clothing. It's the exact same feeling when purchasing items for your kids. Many times I have bought items for my girls that they simply don't like, are uncomfortable on them, are the wrong size and they refuse to wear. To avoid any more waisted money I decided to visit a New York City children's clothing brand called Florence Fancy.
Florence Fancy has re-invented themselves to be a luxury children's brand. When they first opened their doors they sold brands such as Oscar de La Renta and others. Now, their Upper East Side brownstone boutique solely sells their own Florence Fancy designs.
When I booked my appointment I honestly didn't know what to expect. I thought we were going to browse through some dresses and pick out a few things to take home. Thankfully, it didn't happen that way.
When we arrived we were greeted by Nancy, Meredith and Emily. Our coats were taken and we were asked to sit next to Curious George on the beautiful couch. They then brought tea, jelly beans, sandwiches and mini cupcakes (which I ate all of). We chatted for a bit before starting to pick out items to try on.

After the mini tea party, it was time to play dress-up. The girls spoke with Nancy, who is the designer for Florence Fancy detailing what they liked and didn't like. Items where pulled out for them to try and they were happy as a clam (you'll see below).
Each piece from the Florence Fancy collection is unique and made with kids in mind. This yellow dress is one of my favorites as well as that Chanel
After playing dress-up we left the showroom with two beautiful dresses and the biggest smiles on our faces. The girls had a great time and we cannot wait to come back.
Florence Fancy also offers great services such as helping you pick out the perfect gift for a birthday party and delivering it to the birthday location (if needed). They also have great gift wrapping:)
If you would like to experience what we did, call to book an appointment (212) 988-8746.
Store is open from 9:00 am - 5:00 pm Monday - Friday.
