How To Party on New Years Eve

These are the final few hours of 2015 and 'OH BOY', am I excited!!
So much happened this 2015, from me loosing my amazing grandfather to me being able to travel all the way to Brazil for work. We all have our ups and downs, it's all about keeping your head up and surrounding yourself with people who will lift you higher. On NYE I'll be celebrating another year of blessings, life and experiences with you, all of you! You've all been such an important part of NYTM and I truly can't thank you enough for supporting me and my dreams. THANK YOU!

Overall, this year has been such a learning experience and I cannot wait to see what 2016 has in store for me and this platform.

Tanto sucedió este 2015, de yo perder mi abuelo increíble a poder viajar a Brasil para trabajar. Todos tenemos nuestros altibajos, es todo acerca de mantener la cabeza arriba y rodearse de personas que van a levantarte lo más alto. En esta celebración de nuevo año voy a estar celebrando un año más de bendiciónes, de vida y experiencias con ustedes. Todos ustedes han sido una parte tan importante de NYTM y yo realmente no puedo agradecerles lo suficiente por apoyarme a mí y mis sueños. ¡GRACIAS!

En general, este año ha sido una experiencia de aprendizaje y no puedo esperar a ver lo que 2016 tiene reservado para mí y esta plataforma.

I had a pretty quite weekend, how was yours? I spent mine with family which came from Dominican Republic to spend the holidays. Since the weather has been pretty decent over here in NYC, I thought it would be fun share this look with all you, Trendy Moms.

I hope you all had a great celebration with your loved ones. I got to spend a little quality time with my crazy Dominican family which I don't get to see often. I also got to share many special and meaningful presents with my mom, sister and brother.

The Force Awakens

Since the new Star Wars movie is all the rave, I thought it would be fun to dedicate one post to some SW fashion. I saw this sweatshirt in Topshop the other day and instantly put it in my shopping bag. Now, I know jack about this iconic series of movies but, nonetheless, thought it would be fun to act like a fan. #dontjudgeme

Dress Classy This Holiday // 6PM

Over the weekend, I visited SoHo with my family and finally got to wear my new perfectly fitted Levi's Jeans paired with this striped Nautica sweater. These jeans are from the New Women's Denim Collection by Levi's. I love the high waist fit, they are super comfortable and hug me in all the right places.

Let the Holiday madness begin!! Starting with Thanksgiving-

Growing up, Thanksgiving was my favorite time of year. It was the time when my entire family gathered to enjoy a delicious feast, danced to great music, reminisce about old times and updated everyone on their current life. All this joy and comfort in someone else's home... Well, now that I'm older, own my own house and know how to cook, things have changed completely. 

There's no more going to Tia Yolanda's house. No more, 'hey, come over, I'm cooking'. No more of that. Now it's all about.. "What are YOU cooking this year, Johnny?" "What time should I come over?" "Can I bring a few friends?".  I'm not sure when it became a-thing to throw these responsibilities at me, but apparently it's OK because I'm now an adult. Ekk. 

Prepping the house for the big dinner is one thing and prepping dinner itself is another. I have to plan ahead even when it comes to outfits for me and my daughters, of course. They love to estrenar new clothes and so do I. We love dressing for the occasion and wearing colors that mix in with the Holiday setting.

Family Getaway / Kalahari Resorts

There's nothing better than escaping the cold and going to a fun destination with your entire family. In all honesty, life is so much easier when you drive places.. to a winter escape, mini vacation, a staycation, whatever you want to call it, we all need a little escape.. can I get an AMEN?. 
Especially if 'Happiness' is less than two hours away from home! 

My family and I (including my younger sister, Emily) had the privilege of visiting Kalahari Resorts & Conventions in the Pocono Mountains. Kalahari Resorts & Conventions has 3 water parks across the country, one in Wisconsin Dells, WI; Sandusky, OH; and the newest location in Pocono Mountains, PA.

To us, this was all new. We've never been to a water park before and didn't really know what to expect.

This isn't your typical little black dress. I got this dress from the Joie store in SoHo a few weeks ago and never got the chance to shoot with it. I love it because the fit isn't too tight or too loose and the lace gives it a feminine touch without being too provocative. Keep reading to see the full look.

Este no es tu vestido negro típico. Me compre este vestido de la tienda de Joie hace unas semanas y nunca tuve la oportunidad de ponérmelo y tomar fotos con el.  Me encanta porque el ajuste no es demasiado apretado o demasiado flojo y el encaje le da un toque femenino sin ser demasiado provocativo. Sigue leyendo para ver el look completo.

Sweater Weather

It's Casual Monday, Trendsters!

Today I'm sharing with you the full outfit which I wore yesterday to run errands around town. You can probably tell that I have minimal things yet look put together. The truth is, I wanted to simply feel comfy since I knew I was going to be out all day. 

I decided to wear these mega comfortable boots from Mephisto which arrived in the mail a few days ago. I love the gold zipper on the side, it looks extremely chic especially if you're wearing a simple outfit. The entire boot is suede and has soft-air technology for tireless walking. I can't even explain how good it felt to walk in these boots. It's almost like you're walking in the clouds. 

I recently visited H&M and after browsing through their great selection of Fall sweaters, I found this beige oversized knitted sweater and I just had to have it! I don't own too many oversized sweaters so I thought it would be a perfect addition to my closet.

Hoy, voy a compartir con ustedes el equipo completo, que me puse ayer para hacer recados por la ciudad. La verdad es que yo quería simplemente sentirme cómoda ya que sabía que iba a estar fuera todo el día.

Decidí usar estas botas mega-cómodas de Mephisto. Me encanta el ziper de oro en el lado, se ve muy elegante.Toda la bota es de camusa y tiene tecnología de aire suave para caminar todo el dia sin cansarse los pies. No puedo ni explicar lo bien que se sentía caminar en estas botas. Es casi como si estuvieras caminando en las nubes.

Recientemente visite H & M y después de navegar a través de su gran selección de suéteres para el otoño, me encontré con este suéter color beige. No tengo muchos  suéteres de gran tamaño, así que pensé que sería una adición perfecta a mi armario.

HOW TO FILL IN YOUR EYEBROWS

Brows have become the “It” thing this season and we can all see why. Brows are such an important aspect of our face, which in some cases we tend to give little to no attention to. I’ve been one to always fall into the 'Bold Brow' trend, always have, always will. 

In the past month I've attended a few events where professionals taught me the basics on how to shape and fill in brows (the right way). There are many tips and tricks on how to get 'perfect' brows and the first one is choosing what works for you. Eyebrow pencil, eyeshadows, gel.. what ever it may be, just be sure it's in the right shade. I personally like using all of the above in the color brown.
