BBQ is a topic we have not discussed here on NYTM and has been requested many times before. Today we're visiting Dinosaur Barbque in Harlem. One of 8 locations in the USA, which opened in 2004.
If you're driving, note that the Henry Hudson Pkwy is near and parking might be a little difficult. Near by you'll find the West Harlem Piers which offer an incredible view towards Edgewater, New Jersey and deliver the most beautiful sunsets during Summer. If the wait for a table is too long, take a walk by the water, you'll be glad you did.
The many bbq places I visited have been served by the pound and the bill ends up being over $100 for 3 slices of average brisket which to be quite honest, I can make myself. This BBQ restaurant isn't like that. You sit, you order, you eat and you pay. Simple as 1, 2, 3. You know what you're getting and you know how much you'll be paying.
This was my fourth or fifth time eating here. I guess you can say, this is one of my favorite places to go to on my cheat days. This food is extremely flavorful and delicious. They offer a few different types of bbq sauces which they also package and sell, as well as their baked beans. They are sold at Fairway, D'Agostino's, Wegmans and many more across the Northeast.
We ordered the Family Stylin' BBQ- this brought 1 whole chicken(6 pieces) + 1 whole rack of beef ribs + 1 pound of brisket + 3 sides + honey hush cornbread. Please be aware that this serves 4-6 people (if you eat a lot) for $68. If you don't want to get such big order you can get a few of my favorites. I highly recommend getting the beef brisket, mac and cheese as well as the chicken.
We visited on a Sunday night and they had great live Jazz playing. Really felt southern. Some say 'this is authentic BBQ!' and I concur.
It's a family friendly place in a biracial community.

Te sientas, ordenas, come y paga.
