Tomorrow is Thanksgiving and I have so much to be thankful for. Thanksgiving is one of my favorite times of the year because I get to spend time with my mothers side of the family and cook my heart out.  I always put a ridiculous amount of love in everything I make but when it comes to Thanksgiving dinner I OD (which ofcourse is a good thing). Part of it is because I hardly spend time with them and I want them to make this special dinner part of there good memories. I have so many people to thank for giving me such an amazing year and amazing life. My blogaversary (december 11th) is coming up and so is my birthday (Decemeber 15th). I am so excited and I have to thank God, my family and my readers. That's all my life is about, literally. If you follow me on Instagram or follow my hashtag #NYTMinthekitchen you might be aware of my recent obsession with baking. Nothing says Holiday like Gingerbread Cookies. So in honor of this  Holiday season, here's a classic gingerbread cookie recipe.

Here's another way of wearing this laptop case from caseable that I recently wore here on my 'Back to Work Mondays' post. I loved the idea of wearing it as a clutch because I love a great color combination and contrast with any outfit. Break from the Red bold lip tradition and into berry lips for this Holiday season. You can see how I achieved this flawless lip here.  Black is sort-off a safe color to go with for the Holidays but everyone loves it. It's timeless and makes you look slim; so why not. I decided to add hints of red and berry through the top of this look, almost like an ombre. Remember if you have too much going on ontop, keep it as simple as possible on the bottom. That's the reason for all the black below. I hope this look inspires you for the festivities approaching.

Ésta es otra manera de usar este caso portátil de Caseable que recientemente me puse aquí en mi 'Back to Work Mondays' puesto. Me encantó la idea de llevarlo como bolso de mano porque me encanta una buena combinación de color y contraste con cualquier traje. Rompa la tradición de labios rojos y trate colores mas rosa para estos días de fiesta. Usted puede ver cómo he conseguido este labio impecable aquí.  El negro es un color seguro para ir a fiestas y a todo el mundo le encanta. Es atemporal y permite que se vea delgada, así que por qué no. He decidido añadir toques de rojo por la parte superior de esta traje, casi como un ombre. Recuerde que si usted tiene demasiadas cosas en la parte superior, mantenga la parte inferior lo más simple posible. Esa es la razón por todo el negro abajo. Espero que este traje la inspire para estas próximas fiestas.

Last week I gave you some tips and techniques on how to apply a bold lip and how to achieve flawless skin. I got incredible feedback and I am very thankful for that. I love keeping a mellow lip when I do a smoky eye. Nudes or light shades of pink work best.

Momofuku Milk Bar

Now this is a place which I can say I never seen before nor have tried anything like it. Momofuku Milk Bar located on 251 e 13 street is a tiny little dessert shop in the East Village. This is only one of five stores in NY (see more locations here). This Milk Bar serves unique sweets and coffees with the most out-of-the-box names like compost cookie and crack pie.

Ahora bien, este es un lugar que yo puedo decir que nunca he visto antes ni he probado nada igual. Momofuku Milk Bar ubicado en 251 e calle 13 es una pequeña tienda de postres en el East Village. Welcome November

As we prepare ourselves for the holiday season we have an urge to dressing holiday'ish, or maybe it's just me. Either way, this tweed jacket mixed with this mustard sweater by Eileen Fisher screams out Thanksgiving. I love this combination of colors and believe it's great for any occasion. By keeping the bottom part of the outfit downy, it allows you to stay classy and really standout without trying. Remember, too much of anything can be a bad thing. & yes, I am wearing silver and gold. How do you feel about mixing these two?

A Night With A View

I discovered a new obsession, waistcoats! Despite me buying a couple through the years, I never payed too much attention as to how I feel when wearing .. and I feel really really good in them. Instant sophistication with a touch of coolness. I bought this one from Zara (i've added plenty more below). As time passes by I start appreciating and paying a little bit more attention to things and how they make me feel. I think this happens to all of us, correct?

Descubrí una nueva obsesión, chalecos! A pesar de comprarme un par a través de los años, nunca he prestado mucha atención en cuanto a cómo me siento cuando usarlos .. y me siento muy, muy bien en ellos. There are many perks in being involved with a different culture. Well, only if you're a foodie like me. If you merely knew the amount of time I spend eating bengali food, you would certainly think I'm nuts. Part of it is because I am hooked on cooking traditionally. In my mind I try to figure out the spices added in each dish to soon after recreate those dishes at home. Call me crazy but that's what a creative foodie does. Theres a bit of a thrill when trying a new Bengali dish. You know, almost that feeling when you sit on a roller coaster and are ready to take off, yea. that's the feeling. I don't want to say that Bengali food is my all time favorite type of food but, it's pretty close to it. Last weekend I met with uncle X who took my palates on a fun ride.
