NY Trendy Moms: Worldwide Day of Play

In honor of Worldwide Day of Play a couple of days ago, a few local moms and I visited the playground and literally let the kiddos run loose while we enjoyed some Bareburger veggie sliders and house-made lemonade. I got the chance to take a few good shots before this little one got all muddy a few minutes later. I wanted to put something on Leanne that was pretty girly but still comfortable. After receiving these leggings from PolkadotWhat a couple of months ago, I can tell you Leanne has worn them over and over again in different ways. The red and pink is a great contrast with the purple dress and hot pink from the headband.

En honor al Día Mundial de jugar un par de días atrás, unos mamás locales y yo visitamos el parque y que, literalmente, dejamos que los kiddos anden sueltos mientras disfrutamos de algunos sliders de BareBurger y limonada hecha en casa. Tuve la oportunidad de tomar unas buenas fotos ante esta pequeña se ensusiara unos minutos más tarde. Quise ponerle algo a Leanne que era bastante femenino, pero al igual sintiendose cómoda. Después de recibir estos leggings de PolkadotWhat hace un par de meses, les puedo decir que Leanne se las a puesto una y otra vez en diferentes maneras. El rojo y el rosa es un gran contraste con el vestido púrpura.

While I sat there just looking at all these kids play, it hit me. You know when you suddenly realize how lucky you are to be healthy, have a family, friends, a home and just lucky to be alive. I am so grateful for life and so should you. Everything instantly starts to look, smell and feel better. I am not crazy! I promise! Unfortunately we (as humans) only start being grateful when we loose a love one, and it shouldn't be that way. The reason why I decided to post these thoughts is because I know many of you might be going through some tough times right now. Just remember the power to change (for the better) begins with just a thought.

Mientras estaba sentada allí sólo mirando a todos estos niños jugar, me di cuenta. Sabes cuando de repente te das cuenta de la suerte que tienes para estar sano, tener una familia, amigos, una casa y la suerte de estar vivo. Estoy muy agradecida por la vida y todos debería estarlo también. Todo al instante comienza a verse, oler y sentirse mejor. No estoy loca! Lo prometo! Lamentablemente (como los humanos) sólo empezamos a ser agradecidos cuando perdemos un ser querido, y no debería ser así. La razón por la que decidí escribir estas reflexiones es porque sé que muchos de ustedes podrían estar pasando por momentos difíciles ahora y el poder de cambio siempre comienza con una idea.
